Peony Garden Suite Some images are timeless and endure through the changes of years and styles. The Peony Garden Suite is a perfect example of timeless elegance. From simple stamping to over-the-top, this suite covers all the bases. Use traditional colors, stamping and die-cutting to create a peony that looks like it came right out of grandma's garden or create a simple modern, monochrome look with the flower stamped in a neutral color on Whisper White. I think you'll find yourself reaching for this suite for many occasions. This lovely tutorial includes two ways to watercolor and uses the Peony Dies to build a gorgeous 3-D flower. Let's make something beautiful!

TIPS: Create depth and shading in watercoloring by painting on a light wash layer and then adding light layers of color to the area you want darker. Allow the paper to dry a bit between layers so it can absorb more ink, but not completely to avoid harsh lines.

Stray Ducklings Love blog hop

The Theme is LOVE and my card uses the beautiful new Designer Series paper Painted with Love.
Along with gorgeous color combinations, it has a whole lot of GOLD in it to make it look rich.

I also used the Sure Do Love You stamp set and the Lots of Love Framelit dies.  I used the heart die on this card but it has the most versatile framelit to make cool boxes. When you get to Nancy Legate's blog check out her post on how many ways there are to use this framelit.

I had to stay with the gold theme and embossed the sentiment and used our 1/8" gold ribbon too!

Welcome to the Stray Ducklings "Anything but a Card" Blog Hop!!

I made these gift card holders for my Bags and Tags Class and they were a big hit.

They are very easy to make and can be used for any occasion.

Cut your card stock to 7 3/4" x 5"

Score at 6" and 2 1/2 "

You will have a strip left to use for the belly band.

Cut the Designer Series Paper at 4" x 2 1/4" and 4 x 1 1/2"

Cut a Whisper White piece at 4 x 1 1/2 for the inside top

Adhere all pieces and round the corners with the envelope punch board.

Use a strip of tear and tape on inside to make the gift card pouch.

Decorate the Belly Band

Frosty the Snowman!!

Thanks to the inspiration I got from my Sister-in-law Beth Lee, who has a plaque that says this and my friend Gayle Kiesow who suggested I make it a  bridge card.

This just made my chuckle and I HAD to make some sort of card out of it!

These bridge cards are so easy to make and put together and this one was so fun.

I did use thick white card stock for the base which is cut 4 1/4 x 8
Scored at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 5 1/2, and 7 3/4"
Designer Paper Merry Little Christmas is cut 4 x 3 for the center and 4 stripes cut at
1 x 4
